Job Description:

The Role:  

  • As the Manufacturing Engineer main objective will be the design, procurement, implementation, and validation of automation and capital equipment.   

  • Develop new equipment, coordinate its design, purchase or construction, and implementation with emphasis on design of fixtures. 

 

In this role you will: 

  • Identify, lead and support continuous improvement/new projects, developing detailed specifications, electrical drawings, implementation plans and other appropriate documentation. 

  • Evaluate existing processes and implement new processes/automation techniques to improve product flow, part quality and first pass yields to reduce product cost and lead time.  Create/revise part instructions and routings; train production and maintenance personnel on the use, set-up and trouble-shoot process.  

  • Work with manufacturing team to attain 100% on-time shipping performance by eliminating quality issues, improving capacity on bottle-neck processes. 

  

Traits we believe make a strong candidate: 

  • Electrical or mechanical engineer background is preferred.  

  • Hands on Experience with designing and commissioning Industrial automation equipment. 

  • Ability to work in a team environment while taking direct ownership of projects/tasks  

  • Strong technical aptitude with a desire for hands on engineering work 

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD is preferred 

  • Proficiency in PLC programing is preferred 

  • Understanding of SPC controls and experience implementing SPC data collection is a plus 

  • Experience with SQL, in specific MS-SQL. The ability to navigate, create and optimize databases for historical data storage and data mining is a plus. 

  • Team player, good interpersonal skills, and ability to engage, communicate, and influence people at all levels inside and outside the organization
