Install, maintain, and repair internal factory equipment. Supervise employees who perform maintenance and tool making. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.
Design & Development: Create, design, and develop mechanical and electronic equipment tailored to production needs.
Installation & Commissioning: Oversee installation of new equipment, attachments, and systems, ensuring proper setup and integration.
Qualification & Validation: Provide qualification and validation services for manufacturing equipment, systems, and utilities, especially in regulated industries like pharma/biotech.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and implement corrective measures to minimize downtime.
Optimization & Upgrades: Analyze performance, identify critical parameters, and implement upgrades to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure equipment meets product specifications, cGMP standards, and regulatory requirements.
Testing & Inspection: Inspect, test, and verify new systems or modifications to ensure functionality and safety.
Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, engineering) and external vendors for smooth operations.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of equipment specifications, maintenance schedules, and compliance reports.
Customer/Operator Support: Address operator concerns, provide training, and ensure equipment usability.
Bachelors degree in Electronics and Biomedical electronics Engineering
2+ years of experience in Manufacturing process engineering and Equipment Installation, Maintenance and Testing
Provide design & assembly feedback to engineering team
Experience using ERP systems - Oracle or SAP
Design change and implementation experience
Equipment, PM and Maintenance work experience is advantage.
Experience in Six Sigma and CAPA process
Should have skills like methodical, responsive, and highly organized; have good analytical skills..
Excellent knowledge of materials, parts, product design and quality standards (ISO 13485) and requirements.
Good knowledge of the company’s technology, production capabilities, tools and assembly methods and be able to use CAD (Computer aided design) tools.
Good at working within budget and meeting deadlines; and have an excellent understanding of health and safety issues and requirements.
Leadership skills can be an asset if their work entails overseeing and coordination of technicians
