We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Equipment Technician to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The technician will work closely with engineers and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure smooth production readiness.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
Dismantle, adjust, repair, and reassemble equipment in accordance with layout plans, blueprints, repair manuals, sketches, or engineering drawings.
Set up and verify process equipment/machines from installation through release to production.
Assist engineers in setting up manufacturing production lines, preparing process documentation, conducting training, and implementing continuous improvements.
Maintain production equipment to minimize downtime and maximize uptime, including preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.
Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform system checkouts, inspections, and functional verifications.
Rebuild or modify manufacturing equipment as required, under the guidance of manufacturing engineers.
Collect, prepare, and report data according to engineer or manager instructions.
Comply with safety rules, regulations, and procedures, use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly, Stop work and report unsafe conditions to supervisors. Report near misses and accidents immediately
Qualifications
High Vocational Diploma or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment related to equipment setup, repair, preventive maintenance, and production support.
Hands-on experience in manufacturing processes and equipment such as wire bond, die attach, mechanical alignment, and optical components (preferred).
Strong troubleshooting, repair, and diagnostic skills in both electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Skilled in working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
