Major Duties:

  • You will investigate equal employment opportunity (EEO) complaints to uncover facts.
  • You will advise managers and employees about equal employment opportunity (EEO) policies and processes.
  • You will advise managers on courses of actions to eliminate barriers to equal employment opportunity (EEO).
  • You will conduct interviews to obtain factual information relevant to claims of employment discrimination.
  • You will prepare correspondence or documentation for forwarding complaints for investigations, hearings, reviews, and appeals.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of Federal, Navy, and other applicable Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program principles, concepts, and legal requirements to effectively train on program roles and responsibilities; 2) Using conventional fact-finding, analytical, and problem-solving methods to research and analyze organizational demographic data for potential Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) barriers; 3) Implementing knowledge of the serviced area's organizations, missions, workforce demographics, and internal employment factors (such as career ladder opportunities) to identify opportunities for affirmative action; and 4) Executing verbal and written communication methods to prepare reports, collaborate with personnel, assist with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) training, prepare correspondence, and present information.
