Job Summary: You will serve as a Deputy Director, Equal Employment Opportunity (DDEEO) for U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) and serve as principal advisor to the Commander, USFFC. You will manage a comprehensive Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program for USFFC including providing positive equal employment consulting services to managers at all levels, program development, administration, evaluation and advisory functions in support of a Model EEO program.

Major Duties:

  • You will provide information regarding EEO laws and policies and employment regulations to applicants, employees and managers ensuring compliance.
  • You will focus on the solution of individuals, institutional and systemic problems, and eliminate barriers to equality of opportunity for all employees.
  • You will serve on management committees and boards that address organizational considerations, staffing requirements and human resources activities.
  • You will oversee all aspects of informal and formal complaint processing for servicing customers.
  • You will advise EEO specialists, counselors and Human Resources (HR) specialists on the technical and procedural aspects of the EEO complaints program; research case precedents and process complaints in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
  • You will review EEO Program areas to identify and develop equal employment opportunity training plans for supervisory development and mandatory annual EEO and bi-annual No FEAR Act training for all employees.
  • You will present training sessions to managers, employees and community contacts; and ensure EEO instructions, policies and procedures are publicized to the workforce.
  • You will supervise a staff of EEO Specialists performing work to support the EEO program.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing and evaluating a civilian federal equal employment opportunity (EEO) programs to include advising on the application of equal employment opportunity (EEO) program requirements and developing strategic initiatives and recommendations for senior leaders.
