Enterprise Project Management OfficeJob Duties:
Collaborate with Project Managers, EPMO customers and partners and domain knowledge (“functional”) experts in KUMC’s various schools and departments.
Foster two-way partnerships among all departments with which EPMO interacts to create and maintain empowered and engaged project teams.
Explore and evaluate emerging trends and developments, and as appropriate, incorporate innovations into process improvement and project management efforts.
Facilitate and manage efficient and effective operations and service delivery.
Prepare project documentation for large and/or complex initiatives by collaborating with subject matter experts through individual and group interviews. Documentation may include:
Business case
Business rules and requirements
Requirements Traceability matrix
Use cases
User Stories
Wireframes and mock-ups
As-is and to-be documentation
Test plans, cases, and scenarios
Partner with IT developers and/or vendors to ensure functional needs have been translated accurately into technical requirements for technology-related projects.
Support developers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful implementation.
Assist KUMC departments and schools in identifying innovative solutions for current and future operational and technical needs.
Consult as necessary with senior leadership to assure that all projects support enterprise goals and directions.
Negotiate between multiple project stakeholders with conflicting needs and manage customer expectations to ensure that all business needs are understood and met.
Develop an understanding of the capabilities of key enterprise information systems such as Workday, (financials, grants, human resources, Campus Solutions), ServiceNow, Perceptive Content, SharePoint, and QlikView.
Document key business processes and information flows to identify, communicate, and suggest areas for improvement.
Provide input for decisions on determining the priority of potential new projects.
Analyze proposed scope changes on in-progress projects and assist Project Manager in evaluating the impact of said changes.
Provide input for user/organization training that is needed as a project is implemented.
Work closely with the EPMO Project Managers to assure successful completion of projects.
Communicate with all stakeholders to ensure requirements have been addressed and needs can be met.
Facilitate technical reviews of proposed technology for new projects.
Lead assigned initiatives, including developing project plans, coordinating project teams, and managing project meetings and work sessions.

Required Qualifications:
Work Experience:
Four (4) years’ experience in business, information technology, project management or related field. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Experience performing business analysis on both technical and process improvement projects, including gathering requirements, documenting workflows, supporting team collaboration and project implementation.
Experience facilitating groups, including cross-functional teams with high stakes on complex issues.
Experience with current technologies, development languages, and the software development process.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in a discipline with a significant analytical component.
Certifications/Licenses: Certification or degree in business analysis, like Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
Work Experience: Experience as a Business Analyst in health care and/or higher education.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
