Interwell Health is seeking a highly skilled Epic Professional Billing (PB) Analyst to support the daily operational integrity of charge capture and upstream billing workflows within our Epic environment. In this role, you will serve as a key owner of Epic PB configuration and ongoing maintenance—particularly within Professional Billing, Charge Router, and dialysis-related claim logic. You will partner closely with internal revenue cycle teams, external billing vendors, and implementation stakeholders to ensure Epic solutions are reliable, scalable, and optimized for high-volume Community Connect operations.

This is a critical, hands-on role responsible for ensuring accurate charge routing, billing workflows configuration, and vendor integrations prior to claims generation, helping prevent down downstream billing issues and supporting efficient revenue flow, directly building and supporting updates to patient statements, credit card integration, and bad debt interfaces.

What You'll Do:

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Epic Professional Billing solutions to support accurate, high-volume daily practice billing operations.
  • Own and maintain Charge Router configuration and routing logic, including rule setup, dialysis-specific date ranges, and modifier handlingto ensure professional charges are routed correctly from source systems into the appropriate billing workflows.
  • Serve as a critical operational resource supporting billing accuracy, patient statements, and uninterrupted revenue flow for practices.
  • Manage and support Epic-related billing vendor integrations and build activity (e.g., statements, credit card processing, collections), ensuring reliability and consistency across workflows.
  • Independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve moderately complex Epic PB and Charge Router issues, minimizing billing delays or downstream impact.
  • Design, build, validate, and test Epic PB configurations and enhancements in support of both ongoing operations and new practice implementations.
  • Partner with internal revenue cycle teams, vendors, and implementation stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Epic solutions.
  • Contribute to end-to-end Epic solution delivery, including discovery, design, build, testing, and migration through established change management processes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members to maintain team throughput and ensure practices are supported without disruption.

What You'll Need:

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare, IT, informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience working within the Epic EHR environment, with a strong hands-on focus in Professional Billing.
  • Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) and Charge Router certifications required; Epic Security Certification or Badge a plus
  • Solid understanding of revenue cycle workflows, including charge routing logic, modifiers, and date-based charge behavior.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective Epic solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (pivot tables, data analysis), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment.

Oh, and one more thing … a recent study shows that men apply for a job or promotion when they meet only 60% of the qualifications, but women and other marginalized groups apply only if they meet 100% of them. So, if you think you’d be a great fit, but don’t necessarily meet every single requirement on one of our job openings, please still apply. We’d love to consider your application!
