Job Description

Environment Services Technician performs general cleaning services for the Health System, assists in training other departmental employees, and practices excellent customer service skills.

2:00pm - 10:00pm with weekend and holiday rotation

Pay based on experience starting at $16.14 per hour

Responsibilities

Collects and transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area. , Dust mops and wet mops tiled floors.  Machine scrubs and power buffs floors as assigned., Follows all infection prevention and control practices, including Standard Precautions, Transmission-Based Precautions, and hand hygiene. , Maintains assigned equipment in clean, operable condition, assists with preventative maintenance and reports repair needs to supervisor immedi, Mixes, uses and disposes of chemicals according to directions., Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner. , Polishes furniture, doors, chrome, stainless steel, etc., Replenishes supplies. , Terminally cleans isolation rooms, surgical rooms and patient rooms as needed.
