About the role: 

 
St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside is currently looking forexperienced Support Services Assistantsto join our team. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting environment. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all hospital areas, including wards and operating theatres.

  • Ensuring equipment used during your shift is cleaned, restocked, and stored correctly.

  • Supporting a collaborative and respectful workplace culture.

  • Communicating effectively with nursing staff and other stakeholders to help achieve positive clinical outcomes. 

About our hospital: 

At St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside, we have over 1,000 dedicated and skilled staff who treat nearly 35,000 people a year, delivering safe and high-quality care to all our patients. Our hospital has 227 beds, 9 operating theatres, 2 cardiac catheter laboratories, a 17-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Day Oncology Unit, Breast Health Centre, Endoscopy Unit, Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and a 24-hour, private emergency centre provided by Brisbane Northside Emergency.

Things that work for us:

  • Ability to work a variety of casual shifts including weekends and evenings as required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and use of equipment

  • Outstanding hygiene standards and a basic understanding of infection control

  • An understanding of safe work procedures and practice including manual handling

  • A strong customer service focus

  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised, whilst working towards tight deadlines
