A Day in the Life
As an Environmental Project Manager, you will primarily support our client, a large oil/gas company, with environmental compliance and risk reduction, and work to convert liabilities into assets. This position will be based out of our Loveland, CO office with limited hybrid work optional, and can involve client site visits. This work consists of managing a large portfolio of projects, and a technical team. It is fast-paced, technical in nature, and involves regulatory understanding and compliance.
The compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000, in addition to an annual bonus (8%), commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location
To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of oil & gas remediation projects through full compliance lifecycle, ensuring regulatory compliance and accelerated closure across multiple phases.
Lead, train, mentor, and develop project teams; coordinate field activities including sampling, monitoring well installation, and remedial oversight.
Deliver high‑quality, on‑time work products for internal and external clients.
Advance site readiness and compliance documentation, meeting or exceeding regulatory deadlines (including ECMC Form 19 and Form 27).
Own project budgets, schedules, profitability, and cost control; prepare scopes, work plans, estimates, and proposals.
Oversee field operations, invoicing, labor approvals, procurement, equipment planning, and vendor management.
Serve as client contact, managing expectations and communication.
Prepare and review technical reports, permits, and senior‑level document reviews.
Maintain project data collection and database management.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Stay current on industry regulations and best practices; participate in training and continuous improvement.
Adhere to and champion company safety standards and OSHA requirements.
Travel to offices, project sites, and meetings as needed, including occasional overnight travel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Expertise and Skills
These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering, or related science field.
7+ years of environmental experience with progressive project management responsibility; 3+ years of team management.
Proven experience in site investigation, soil and groundwater remediation design, and remediation system operations.
Strong knowledge of Colorado Oil & Gas regulations, including ECMC 900 Series Rules.
Hands-on experience with Colorado ECMC, CDPHE, and U.S. EPA, including spill response, Form 19 and Form 27 processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic data collection tools.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams and clients.
Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening.
Frequent travel within Northeast Colorado; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard mitigation.
Preferred Qualifications
40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
AutoCAD or similar design software experience
