As an Environmental Manager at Micron, you will have the outstanding opportunity to build and improve our environmental programs, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with regulatory standards. This role is pivotal in driving our ambitious and world-class environmental initiatives!
Ensure Micron’s environmental programs and procedures are effective, efficient, and correspond with the management system and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate, manage, and conduct environmental walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to ensure operations align with procedures and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain the ISO EHS management system and perform internal audits.
Perform incident and event follow-up and investigation, determine root cause(s), implement containment action, establish corrective action & preventative action, and verify efficiency.
Provide customer support and technical expertise for various environmental issues and environmental regulations, successfully implementing functional, efficient solutions.
Assist in achieving site’s sustainability goals by participating in committees and providing feedback to plan, complete, and monitor projects.
Clearly communicate environmental issues (both written and verbal) to Micron Leadership and local, state, and federal agencies.
Meet requirements to conduct accurate environmental calculations and submit vital reports to regulatory agencies.
Conduct applicability determinations on environmental regulations.
Make objective decisions supported by verifiable facts.
Collect, evaluate, and communicate environmental-related metrics and performance measurements.
Identify, develop, and provide environmental training in accordance with regulations and company & department objectives.
Develop and implement functional, efficient solutions for environmental issues.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental or chemical engineering, environmental science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
More than 7 years of environmental management experience in semiconductors or high technology industries is preferred.
Proven understanding of environmental regulations and compliance standards.
Specific experience in environmental programs, including air pollution management, waste minimization, recycling and reuse, environmental impact evaluation, wastewater treatment, and greenhouse gas inventory, among others.
Verified expertise in formulating and managing environmental and sustainability programs in semiconductor or high technology industries.
Experience in semiconductor or high-tech industry construction is preferred.
Familiarity with ISO14001, ISO 14064, ISO50001 is preferred.
Strong English communication and coordination skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication abilities, standout colleague, strong collaboration and analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
Outstanding analytical & problem-solving skills to address EHS challenges and implement effective solutions.
