We are looking to welcome a Environmental Health & Security Lead to drive and own the EH&S at our Shannon site. This is an excellent role which provides the successful candidate the opportunity to make a real difference and business impact.

Provide leadership and build partnership at site across all levels of the organization to foster EH&S culture improvement.
Partner with site leadership and supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Irish/EU international regulations and laws
Provide guidance to all employees to ensure adherence to Collins Aerospace EH&S Instructions, Procedures and Standard Practices.
Manage workplace Accident/Incident Investigations and Emergency Response Preparedness
Works on cross-functional projects that interface with other groups, external to and within the core EH&S team.
Assists in the identification of Health & Safety hazards and the development of controls to mitigate risks including ergonomic improvements.
Provides timely information and guidance to the site EH&S leadership team, site EH&S committee and Sub-committees on EH&S performance trends and root cause corrective actions for injuries and near misses.
Lead and instruct EH&S training courses, and ensure all required training is completed.
Determination and implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives to minimize water use, greenhouse gas generation, hazardous waste generation and increase recycling rate.
Maintain EHS reporting systems including license renewal, schedule EHS meetings, completion of reports, and updating of progress on EHS projects.
Act as REACh focal for the site

Relevant bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or related degree/experience
Demonstratable experience with strong understanding of legal EH&S requirements and obligations under Irish and EU law
Strong leadership, organization and project management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and work with all levels within Collins organization and external agencies.
Demonstrated ability to understand, manage and accurately report EH&S performance metrics.
Experience in leading and implementing site and/or corporate EH&S programs, systems and corrective actions.
Demonstrated strength in EH&S risk assessment, program evaluation and auditing.
Past experience in manufacturing settings, aerospace industry and/or a chemical background is advantageous
Demonstrated knowledge and experience applying and implementing programs in the area of ATEX, REACh, equipment safety and ergonomics.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience applying and implementing programs in the area of ATEX, REACh, equipment safety and ergonomics.
Recognized Certification in Environmental, Safety or Health, Risk Management (NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
