Position Summary

The Retail Environment & Experience Designer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and evolving accurate retail store floor plans that support new store openings, remodels, and ongoing store operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring drawing accuracy, fixture integrity, and cross-functional alignment across Store Presentation, Construction, Architecture, and MEP partners.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain accurate CAD/REVIT floor plans for all existing stores.

  • Create new store and remodel floor plans in collaboration with the Senior Director of Store Presentation.

  • Ensure all floor plans reflect current fixture standards, merchandising strategy, and operational needs.

  • Work closely with architects and MEP vendors to ensure coordinated, build-ready drawings.

  • Assist in the development of new fixture concepts and ensure all fixtures are accurately drawn.

  • Coordinate with multiple vendors to gather, validate, and maintain fixture specifications.

  • Improve drawing accuracy to control cost and reduce change orders.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • AutoCAD Drafting: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience (required).

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize AE Design Tool packages within AutoCAD.

  • Revit: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience (preferred).

  • Ability to confidently navigate, interpret, and utilize all core functions of Revit, including model navigation, views, and documentation workflows.

  • Retail, commercial, or store planning design experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: 

  • Monday – Friday onsite, based out of our Roswell, GA Store Support Center. Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed.  Work hours may occasionally extend beyond a standard schedule to meet project deadlines during peak development cycles.

  • This role is primarily office-based within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment and requires regular use of computer-aided design software, including AutoCAD/REVIT.

  • The role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer workstation and to review detailed drawings, plans, and specifications requiring close visual focus.

  • The ability to lift and carry light materials (up to 20 lbs.), such as samples, plans, or presentation materials, is also required.

  • Must be able to travel by air or car as needed and navigate active retail or construction environments, including walking store floors or job sites, climbing stairs, and maneuvering around fixtures and equipment.

Travel:

  • Up to 10–15% of travel is required to support new store openings, remodels, and field validation.
