The Environmental Engineering and Consulting team delivers solutions for complex environmental challenges using our regulatory expertise and implementing practical and cost-effective compliance management processes and programs. We address our clients’ biggest concerns around permitting, ecoservices, assessment, and remediation.
Our highly trained and experienced engineers and scientists, environmental and remediation specialists, geologists, hydrogeologists, biologists, and environmental compliance specialists work with both public- and private-sector clients, delivering turnkey solutions.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Our Environmental Data & Inventory Clerk position is located in, Jacksonville, FL. As a key member of the Environmental team your reliability and organization will help keep operations running safely and smoothly. You’ll work with a close-knit team that manages hazardous material tracking on-site at a Department of Defense installation. No prior environmental experience is required — we’ll train you on everything you need to know. If you’re comfortable with computers, enjoy following structured processes, and take pride in accuracy, this could be a great long-term fit this role.
In this role you will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Track materials using a computer-based inventory system (Hazardous Material Management System — HMMS).
Conduct simple on-site inventory checks to confirm materials are stored and labeled correctly.
Help reduce waste by coordinating the reuse of materials between different shops or departments.
Enter and update data, run reports, and maintain organized records.
Support compliance documentation and assist with periodic audits or inspections.
Communicate with team members to ensure materials are properly accounted for and recorded.
This position combines computer-based work with light on-site activity — perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of desk work and hands-on tasks.
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Prior experience in data entry, warehouse, logistics, inventory control, quality assurance, or administrative support is preferred.
Skills:
Comfortable using Excel and other basic computer programs.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Reliable and punctual, with good communication and teamwork skills.
Willing to learn and follow established procedures.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass a federal background check.
Full-time assignment on-site at Department of Defense installation.
This position requires the ability to successfully pass an FBI background check
Physical Demands
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee may be required to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers and is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. He/she frequently is required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel. There may be occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor of supplies and materials weighing no more than 30 pounds. The work may involve some bending, standing, or walking. Out of office site visits could potentially have more strenuous physicals demands.

Possible work environments could include normal office working conditions in a well-lit, climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential and controlled out of office (industrial or outdoor) sites with potential exposure to noise and environmental conditions

Competitive pay: $48,000–$52,000 annually (based on experience)
