About our Culture:

Our mission to change behavioral health starts with us and how we operate. We don’t want to just change behavioral health, we want to change the way startups operate. Here are a few tactical examples:

  1. Improving accessibility and quality of healthcare is something we live and breathe. Everyone on Camber’s team cares deeply about helping clinicians and patients.

  2. We have to have a sense of humor. Healthcare is so broken, it's depressing if you don't laugh with us.

About the Role:

Enterprise customers need robust financial reporting with compliance-grade data fidelity, and right now, our Account Managers are spending hours each week on custom analyses that should be standardized and scalable. We're hiring a Strategy Associate to own this work and build the analytical foundation for our growing enterprise customer base.

This role sits at the intersection of customer experience and data. You'll proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in customer data rather than waiting for problems to surface. You'll create repeatable methodologies that turn ad-hoc requests into scalable processes. And you'll partner closely with our Enterprise Account Managers and Data Products team to ensure our customers have the financial visibility they need.

This is an analytically rigorous, customer-centric role, but you won't be managing relationships or presenting to executives. You'll be the engine behind the insights that make those conversations possible.

What you'll do:

  • Operational analysis: Proactively spot denial trends, anomalies in unpaid claims, and repeat issues (e.g., mass credentialing problems, payer-specific patterns) before they escalate.

  • Performance reporting: Track and quantify improvements from updated protocols – at both Camber and customer levels – and conduct issue-specific deep dives (e.g., coordination of benefits, eligibility tracking).

  • Money movement analysis: Analyze how dollars flow from claim phase to claim phase, surfacing insights on Camber and customer performance.

  • First-level diagnostics: Conduct initial investigation of operational and AR issues, identifying root causes and recommending next steps.

  • Standardize methodologies: Co-build repeatable frameworks for 90+ day AR analyses, trend reporting, and triage with our Data team – replacing one-off analyses with scalable processes.

  • Partner with Data Products: Consult on custom financial reports and data extracts to ensure enterprise customers get compliance-grade outputs.

What we're looking for:

  • 2-4 years of experience in analytics, operations, consulting, or a similar role where you've built analyses that drove decisions.

  • Strong analytical skills – fluent in Excel and comfortable with BI tools and data modeling. Coding experience (SQL, Python) is a plus.

  • A proactive mindset: you'd rather find the problem before someone asks about it than react after the fact.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to create structure where none exists.

  • Clear communication skills: you can translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.

  • Healthcare or RCM experience is a plus but not required – curiosity and willingness to learn the domain matters more.

Perks & Benefits at Camber:

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision plans with nationwide coverage, including 24/7 virtual urgent care.

  • Mental Health Support: Weekly therapy reimbursement up to $100, so you can prioritize the care that works best for you.

  • Paid Parental Leave: Up to 12 weeks of fully paid time off for new parents (birth, adoption, or foster care).

  • Financial Wellness: 401K (traditional & Roth), HSA & FSA options, and monthly commuter benefits for NYC employees.

  • Time Off That Counts: 18 PTO days per year (plus rollover), plus office closures for holidays, monthly team events, company off-sites, and daily, in-office lunches for our team.

  • Fitness Stipend: $100/month to use on fitness however you choose.

  • Hybrid Flexibility: In NYC? We work in the office 3–5x/week, with flexibility when life happens. Fridays are remote-friendly.

Camber is based in New York City, and we prioritize in-person and hybrid candidates. Please refer to the top of this page for this position's hiring location.

Building an inclusive culture is one of our core tenets as a company. We’re very aware of structural inequalities that exist, and recognize that underrepresented minorities are less likely to apply for a role if they don’t think they meet all of the requirements. If that’s you and you’re reading this, we’d like to encourage you to apply regardless — we’d love to get to know you and see if there’s a place for you here!

In addition, we take security seriously, and all of our employees contribute to uphold security requirements and maintain compliance with HIPAA security regulations.
