Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Enterprise Solution Architect to support the development and execution of differentiated mission-critical solutions for our Mega Deal pursuits (contracts valued over $1 billion). In this role, you will work collaboratively with our capture and proposal teams and directly interface with customers to design solutions that address complex challenges within the Department of War. The focus for this individual will focus on C5ISR opportunities. You will provide technical and operational expertise, leveraging your military background and industry experience to help shape requirements and deliver innovative and future-ready technologies.

Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Technologies and Solutions, this position is part of Amentum’s Enterprise Capture and Proposal Operations Group and supports a robust pipeline of GSA and DOD opportunities. This hybrid position provides the flexibility to work remotely, while maintaining ability to support customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement & Solution Development:

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to DoD customers, fostering relationships and helping tailor requirements and solutions to mission needs.
  • Develop and present innovative, differentiated solutions that address the specific challenges and requirements of large DoD capture efforts.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders to shape long-term strategies and align technical solutions with evolving mission goals.

Mega Deal Pursuits:

  • Lead solution architecture for enterprise-level pursuits valued at over $1 billion, focusing on end-to-end integration of advanced technologies and operational approaches.
  • Support capture and proposal efforts by developing technical content, system designs, and mission-driven solutions aligned with customer requirements.

Technical Leadership:

  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of enterprise C5ISR and other emerging technologies to strengthen Amentum’s competitive edge.
  • Integrate innovative and scalable technologies to optimize operational efficiency in technical and mission-critical environments.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal capture teams, business development, and proposal operations to ensure well-coordinated and high-quality solution development.
  • Provide mentoring and thought leadership within Amentum’s strategic technologies and solutions team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 20 years’ experience demonstrating hands-on experience integrating IT systems and overseeing enterprise-level technology architecture, to include working with or supporting DOW – with strong expertise in ISR and intel operations and some working experience with COCOMs.
  • Bachelors degree is required; Master’s degree in a relevant or technical field is preferred
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of DOW mission operations and technical challenges, with the ability to deliver practical, mission-aligned solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DOD enterprise or other major COCOMs in operational or technical role.
  • Retired military officer with ability to interface with highest levels of DOD is highly preferred
  • Expert certifications such as PMP, ITIL 4, CISSP, SAFe Agilist, and relevant cloud certifications.

       

Compensation Details:

250K
