Enterprise Resilience Office (ERO) develops and oversees a global program that governs the business in the creation of effective and risk appropriate continuity and recovery solutions to support the continuation of critical processing and servicing of our clients.

Scope of Position

ERO – Shared Services, Vice President

The Vice President, Enterprise Resilience Office (ERO) plays a key leadership role in supporting the design, execution, and ongoing enhancement of the firm’s Enterprise Resilience strategy and its internal Shared Services capabilities. This role brings strong subject‑matter expertise in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity and provides leadership oversight for elements of the ERO Shared Services function, helping to deliver consistent, high‑quality, and scalable resilience services across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage the ERO Shared Services team responsible for delivering centralized and consistent enterprise resilience capabilities.

  • Oversee day‑to‑day delivery of shared services to support enterprise resilience objectives, including:
    • Business Continuity & Crisis Management support
    • Operational Resilience support
    • 3rd Party & Supply Chain Assurance 
    • Client Engagement team support
    • Resilience tooling, automation, and platform management
    • Testing CoE support
  • Help define and embed performance standards, operating rhythms, service levels, and continuous improvement practices across Shared Services.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align Shared Services delivery with ERO strategy, regulatory expectations, and business priorities.
  • Monitor service performance and outcomes, driving continuous improvements in efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.

Enterprise Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with business units, technology, risk, and corporate functions when needed to help embed resilience into decision‑making and day‑to‑day operations.
  • Coordinate and support cross‑functional efforts related to resilience initiatives, testing activities, regulatory submissions, and reporting as and when required.
  • Prepare and support delivery of briefings and insights for senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Provide guidance and perspective to stakeholders on resilience risks, preparedness, and business impact.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of overall professional experience, with demonstrated progression in resilience, continuity, or risk‑related roles.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting or managing Operational Resilience programs.
  • Proven experience of leading Resilience exercises.
  • Proven experience of leading/ supporting Crisis Management activities, exercises and response coordination.
  • Continuity and/or risk‑related certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience interpreting and supporting delivery against regulatory expectations, in partnership with risk and compliance teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of Operational Resilience and the Business Continuity Management lifecycle, with hands‑on delivery experience.
  • Ability to manage initiatives with limited supervision, prioritizing effectively and escalating as needed.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams, functions, and geographies, including senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams, set clear expectations, and foster a collaborative, inclusive working environment.
  • Experience partnering with cyber security and technology teams to support Cyber Resilience considerations as part of broader operational resilience and continuity efforts.
  • Working exposure to third‑party and vendor resilience considerations, with experience partnering with relevant stakeholders to support resilience objectives.

Note: The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office

Minimum Salary:

zł282,000 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
