Capacity Management Architect Job Description:

Successful infrastructure architects are individual contributors who seek to continuously improve the quality and reliability of IT infrastructure. They are experts in all aspects of infrastructure design and architecture and have extensive understanding of related areas such as network, application, and platform architecture. They are progressive thinkers, effective written and verbal communicators, and can influence and drive direction for engineering teams. As necessary, they provide documentation and training to enable engineers and implementors.

• Contributes and assists in developing the organization's technology architecture and plays a leading role in the vision and development of the company's future technology strategy.
• Has a comprehensive grasp on Supply and Demand concepts including reclaim efforts, utilization, allocation and metrics across all infrastructure categories. (Converged, OCP, Bare metal Object, NAS, SAN)
• Creates and documents Enterprise Supply and Demand views and ensures that comprehensive forecasting and reclaim efforts support that view are made in accordance with established standards, patterns, policies, procedures, and software licensing agreements.
• Robust knowledge of Archer, and RAU management, Regulatory metrics and Level one reporting across major areas (Computational Supply and demand, Network, Datacenter, Converged, OCP, Storage platforms).
• Contributes and assists in interpreting technology requirements and develops scalable demand models to support forecasted business demand.
• Coordinates across all platforms yearly forecast needs to that respective platforms can make adequate purchased and planning.
• Develops internal standards and appropriate design artifacts that align with long-term business strategies, and tracks supply and demand against current technology and practices.
• Reviews and advises current and future design standards for infrastructure system builds; provides input on risk, scalability, operational/cost efficiency, quality, and impact on the enterprise charge back model provided to Finance.
• Researches, identifies, and tests API integration to 400+ data sources; performs proof of concepts of new technologies to leverage integration possibilities to the data warehouse.
• Creates roadmaps and strategies for progressing the scope of the data warehouse to reflect changing in platforms of technologies.
• Provides leadership, technology guidance, and mentorship within the IT organization and across all LOBs.
• Creates and Participates in the training and support of engineering and operations groups.
• Consults with internal LOBs and vendors to evaluate new products and technologies impacts.
Qualifications
• Multiple years of experience working in an enterprise IT infrastructure organization.
• Tableau, Data management, ETL, SQL, Excel/Pivots.
• Expertise in enterprise infrastructure design, including public cloud, networking, Windows/Linux operating system environments, storage area networks, converged, OCP and other related infrastructure components.
• Thorough grasp of virtualization technologies and related concepts, such as storage, compute, network virtualization, HCI, IaaS, container orchestration, automation, and resource planning.
• Experience designing and building cloud environments using AWS or Azure.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with modern software development and DevOps concepts, workflow management, site reliability, continuous delivery and integration, microservices, RESTful APIs, and common application infrastructure patterns.
• Experience with automation and scripting using tools such as SQL, Data warehousing and ETL.
• Ability to work well and also challenge in both a team setting and independently to meet business objectives.
• Ability to conceptualize, formulate, and present complex solutions to a wide audience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as a superior attention to data and reporting accuracy.
• Excellent documentation skills, including experience creating and maintaining and RAU, Policies and procedures.

Job Description

  • Delivers products/services in alignment with business needs and objectives. Responsible for multiple teams or departments within the Enterprise Infrastructure function.
  • Contributes to infrastructure planning, development strategies/initiatives and product lifecycle/service orientation; determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs. Oversees portfolio/program/project management responsibilities. Directs financial management and risk management capabilities.
  • Contributes to stable and secure environment, incident management, product health/patching, and the asset management lifecycle. May communicate with vendors, suppliers and executive management to ensure availability of infrastructure technologies and support.
  • Implements best practices for technology architecture and management.
  • Directs, motivates, develops and oversees the performance of the management team and key staff.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $80,000.00 – $198,375.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
