About the position
The ENGINE Enterprise Economics Technical Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of Enterprise / Regions Performance financial models in Quorum’s Planning Space Calculation workflow modules. This role combines strong economic and decision analysis capabilities with hands-on Planning Space expertise and technical problem-solving skills.
The role will work closely with business stakeholders and other ENGINE personnel to translate complex performance data into actionable insights that drive capital allocation, operational performance, and strategic decision-making.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design, operate, and maintain Planning Space models and performance systems for enterprise performance measurement
Build, enhance, and troubleshoot Planning Space calculations, workflows, and integrations to ensure accurate and reliable outputs
Apply financial, economic, and decision analysis to convert system outputs into actionable business insights
Identify and resolve data quality, modeling, and system issues through hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Support user adoption through targeted training, documentation, and system support
Support Planning Space end-point requirements and Integration interfaces with other performance system tools and automation workflows
Global exposure opportunities
The ENGINE Enterprise Economics Technical Specialist will work with global stakeholders across upstream, midstream, and downstream organizations, providing exposure to enterprise-level benchmarking, target-setting, and performance management. The role offers the opportunity to influence strategic and operational decisions by enabling consistent, high-quality Planning Space insights.

Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field
4 – 7 years of experience working with enterprise planning and performance systems
Demonstrated mastery of Planning Space software
Strong financial fluency, including experience in economic analysis, decision analysis, and value-driver-based performance assessment
Hands-on experience coding, configuring, and troubleshooting Planning Space models, calculations, and workflows
Proficiency with data and analytics tools such as SQL, Python, and enterprise reporting/visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI)
Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial and system outputs into clear business insights and recommendations
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence both technical and business stakeholders across geographies
Proven ability to investigate modeling outputs critically, identify data or logic issues, and drive resolution
Preferred qualifications
Experience in energy, offshore, industrial, or other asset- and process-intensive domains
Familiarity with operational and financial value drivers (e.g., production, utilization, operating expense, capital efficiency)
Experience with cloud data platforms and system integrations (e.g., Azure, AWS, APIs, data pipelines)
Advanced Python skills for automation, data validation, and anomaly detection
