Enterprise Data Risk Specialist

Mō te tūranga | About the Role
As an Enterprise Data Risk Specialist, you’ll strengthen Westpac NZ’s data risk capability by coordinating planning, reporting and communication across data management and risk initiatives.
You’ll partner with data and business leaders to uplift data governance, support strategic planning and track progress against risk reduction and maturity goals. Working across the organisation, you’ll report on compliance with data governance and operational risk frameworks, and develop learning content that embeds strong data ownership and decision‑making.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your data management and risk expertise, using strong storytelling and communication skills to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences and help Westpac make better decisions about how it manages data to deliver valuable outcomes for customers and the business.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
Proven experience with planning and scheduling tools (e.g. JIRA developer, Gannt Charts, roadmaps etc).
Proven experience with delivery of time sensitive information in differing formats and styles to senior stakeholders.
An understanding of modern Data Management frameworks, practices and crafts.
An understanding of Risk management frameworks and operational risks.
An understanding of culture change management and ADKAR principles.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, and a proven ability to story tell and present complex situations in clear , concise and easily understood ways to a variety of audiences.
Exposure to strategic planning processes
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a data, communications, technology, science, or related discipline.
Facilitation experience, including workshops, presentations, and remote conferencing.
Experience developing knowledge and learning artifacts
