As a Business Development Representative at Vesper, you play a key role in expanding our global customer base. You decide how to do that. We provide clear guidelines, support, and ambitious targets, but we trust you to own your approach. Success here is measured by impact, not by the number of calls you make.

In January 2024, we began building our Business Development function from the ground up. By 2025, the team was fully up and running and significantly exceeded its annual targets. What you will be doing

  • Own the Discovery stage in our Enterprise sales pipeline, qualifying complex FMCG and Retail accounts
  • Lead online discovery meetings to uncover compelling events and procurement pain points and convert insights into high-quality opportunities for Enterprise AEs
  • Run multi-threaded outreach across complex organisations to engage key stakeholders, build early alignment, and accelerate deal velocity
  • Build, maintain, and execute a quarterly and annual book of business to ensure disciplined prioritisation, pipeline health, and strategic account coverage
  • Execute hyper-personalised outbound motions (emailing, LinkedIn, cold calling) to initiate high-value conversations with senior procurement leaders
  • Develop and activate internal champions who drive momentum and influence within target accounts
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success and Enterprise Account Executives to ensure smooth handovers and strong opportunity progression
  • Own your targets end-to-end, with the autonomy and accountability to choose the most effective path to success. You’ll be measured on discovery calls and stamps.
  • Master Vesper’s platform, market insights, and value proposition to run credible, insight-driven conversations with enterprise buyers

 

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience succeeding in a SaaS sales environment as an SDR or BDR
  • Experience with the SPICED and/or MEDDIC sales methodology
  • Preparation and attention to detail are crucial
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Any other language is welcome
  • Proactive team player with excellent communication, listening, analytical and organisational skills
  • Eager to learn and develop yourself and others around you
  • Keen interest in the scale-up ecosystem, or experience working at a startup/scale-up
