JOB DESCRIPTION
Manages the firm’s audio-visual teams across all offices and performs a variety of technology-based duties, including designing, implementing, and managing complex audio-visual systems; AV responsibilities include overseeing the support of complex, hybrid audio visual meetings, including both internal and external participants, the evaluation of best-in class audio-visual technology, and the establishment of processes, practices and procedures designed to ensure successful multi-media meetings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Strategic & Operational Management
Develop and implement audiovisual strategies and plans aligned with the organization’s objectives and budget.
Prepare, forecast, and manage the AV budget, including monitoring expenses and maintaining cost efficient operations.
Coordinate communication between strategic and operational multi media teams.
Team Leadership
Manage the audiovisual team, including training, development, performance evaluations, and workload management.
Oversee the multimedia teams in each office.
Lead monthly meetings with multimedia teams to establish standard procedures for common meeting types.
Work with all offices to identify needs and address issues collaboratively.
Technical Oversight
Maintain, update, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment to ensure systems remain up to date and fully functional.
Ensure timely setup, testing, and operation of AV systems for events, meetings, and conferences.
Oversee testing of equipment and manage the establishment of firm wide AV standards.
Document standard configurations for various hybrid meeting types.
Maintain an inventory of conference room capabilities firm wide.
Coordinate testing prior to firm meetings and events.
Cross Department Collaboration
Collaborate with internal departments to meet audiovisual needs for events, meetings, and firm wide initiatives.
Meet with administrative departments to prepare for recurring meetings and events.
Provide technical consultation to clients, stakeholders, and organizational partners to support successful execution.
Technology & Vendor Management
Research, evaluate, and recommend new AV technologies and equipment to enhance organizational capabilities.
Establish and maintain relationships with AV vendors and service providers.
Manage AV vendor contracts and service level agreements with contracted vendors.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and organizational policies related to audiovisual systems and services.
SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Experience & Education
Minimum of 5 years of experience in audiovisual management.
Bachelor’s degree in audiovisual technology, technical theater, or a related field.
Technical Expertise
Advanced knowledge of audiovisual equipment, systems, and software.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Strong technical skills and understanding of modern collaborative software, specifically, Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Awareness of emerging industry trends and the ability to integrate modern technologies.
Leadership & Communication
Proven ability to manage a team and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross functional teams.
Demonstrated experience in budget management and cost control.
Perform other departmental duties as required by supervisors.
