This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:

In a typical day in this Enterprise Account Manager position you:

  • Focus on an extraordinary set of accounts of German defence customers as well as German classified accounts; this includes public as well as private defence clients. Driving run rate but also strategic deals, essential for the new military setup and appearance in Germany.
  • Focus on few large FedGov (Federal Government) clients, driving forward the HPE story around IT transformation; these clients are large, complex, demanding but also rewarding.
  • Influence and drive frame contracts in the FedGov area. These frames are having large values and complex T&Cs. Specific need to early align with critical partners and essential to influence the clients early in the sales phase to allow HPE, placing winning bids.
  • Focus on Federal Government as a whole; executing the existing frame contracts; alignment with partners and distributors as well as HPE experts to gain maximum top and bottom line for HPE Germany.
  • Are the central HPE contact for the clients.
  • Execute initiatives within the clients to win multi-BU deals for HPE.
  • Execute existing server frame contract and win additional frames in the upcoming years.
  • Built up executive relations within the account.
  • Partner with other HPE divisions, establish senior relations with the defence dedicated partner landscape. Focus on triangulation.
  • Hunt new opportunities and extend existing customers to develop a short- and long-term sales pipeline.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of client's business, organization structure and future challenges to define and adapt a solution road map to fulfil this business needs.
  • Interface with both internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solutions development.
  • Work closely together with sales specialists, presales, support organizations and our business partners to orchestrate deal-specific sales teams and lead to success.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position the company's solutions better.

If you have these Skills, Expertise, Attitude and Education…

  • Security Clearance appreciated (SÜ2/SÜ3).
  • Academic degree in an economic or technical field of study.
  • > 15 years sales experience with a focus on IT solution/services sales ideally with the ability to cover HPE portfolio.
  • Experience in public tenders and procurement procedures.
  • Profound knowledge of the IT market.
  • Strong will to win behaviour, ready to go an extra mile to achieve something exceptional.
  • Experienced financial understanding.
  • Good mixture between customer relationship management skills and solution content.
  • Sales attitude and closing skills - recognize new opportunities, generate new business and close the deal.
  • Excellently skilled in collaboration and leading with other sales teams.
  • Profound communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent German and English language skills.
