Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major Duties:

• You will work as a research engineer/scientist in the area of energetic materials research and development.
• You will perform laboratory operations with minimal oversight aimed at characterization, analysis, modeling and simulation, of energetic materials and their constituents.
• You will perform independent complex research and development and report results in peer-reviewed forums (journal, conference, meetings).
• You will develop original proposals/cost estimates/statements of work to secure external and internal funding for work to be executed.
• You will execute complex programs involving multiple personnel in different technical departments and manage necessary equipment/resources.
• You will participate in the safety culture and safety programs ongoing and developed at the duty station.

Qualifications: FOR ND-02: You must have successfully completed a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included a major field of study as described in the Education section of this flyer. For the ND-03: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-02 (GS-05/08) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist applying research engineering or scientific methods in energetic or reactive materials and development.
