Work Arrangement:
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.
What You’ll Do
Working as business administrator for GM’s Industrial engineering tools. Provide user trainings to new IEs, troubleshooting tool issues, doing continuous improvements to IE tools
Maintain accurate time studies for Assembly lines using STDS (Standard time data system) methodology, Motion analysis, Manpower calculation & Line Balancing.
Expertise in Automotive Assembly processing system
Coordinate business requirements and issues with IT to define, develop, and test applications used by Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering and plants to support line balancing, Ergonomics, standard time development, and reporting.
Creation and maintenance of JES (Job Element Sheets), STD (Standard Time Data), and SOS (Standard Operation Sheets) defining the plant floor assembly process steps for operators
Drive continuous improvement through elimination of waste
Support implementation and training for standardized work development
Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Engineering degree in IE/Mech/Prod
5+ years of experience in Automotive industrial engineering
Strong Industrial engineering experience in Automotive manufacturing
Experience in documentation of standardized work procedures
Experience in implementation of lean manufacturing concepts
Knowledge of time study and motion analysis
Self-motivated individual with continuous improvement focus
Strong oral & written communication skills
Human factors engineering - ergonomic analysis
Programming and process automation skills – Excel macros/ VBA / Python / AI / ML
AutoCAD / Factory CAD / Line Designer / Flow Planner
