Assist in Return Material Authorization (RMA) part and assembly trouble shooting and repair activities.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Conduct complex testing of products/components and document results.
Train and provide support to lower level staff.
Diagnose, repair, and test complex electronic subsystems with support from engineering.
Assist in Return Material Authorization (RMA) part and assembly trouble shooting and repair activities.
Assist engineers in building, assembling, wiring, and testing electronic systems, modules, and prototypes for maritime defense applications.
Perform electrical testing, data collection, instrumentation setup, and troubleshooting of circuits and components.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering drawings.
Maintain equipment, organize lab workspaces, and enforce safety and configuration control practices.
Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to support project goals.
Participate in occasional travel (up to 15%) for field testing, training, and customer support.
Required Qualifications
Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and engineering documentation.
Excellent soldering skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
U.S. Citizenship required and must be able to obtain a DoD clearance.
High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6+ years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6+ years of related experience.
Experience supporting DoD, Navy, or defense electronics.
Familiarity with MIL-STD electronics, EMI/EMC considerations, or ruggedized systems.
Knowledge of cable harnessing, PCB rework, or prototype fabrication.
Experience with test instrumentation automation or data acquisition systems.
J-STD-001 certification
IPC-A-620 certification
Exposure to AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
Experience with prototype fabrication, test fixtures, or environmental testing.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Normal finger dexterity, and normal color vision.
Candidate must be capable of occasional lifting of 40 pounds, waist high, with no assistance.
