About the Role:
At Plenti, we’re looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to lead one of our engineering teams while remaining hands-on in development. This role blends technical leadership, people leadership, and delivery ownership. You’ll work closely with Product Managers and senior engineering stakeholders to drive innovation, uplift our technology stack, and mentor engineers to perform at their best.

The ideal candidate is passionate about building high-quality software, empowering teams, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Delivery
• Partner with Product Managers to assess upcoming work and define technical solutions
• Break down high-level requirements into a clear, deliverable backlogs
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Staff Engineers, and Architects to align on technical direction
• Guide solution design and implementation, ensuring alignment with best practices

Team Leadership
• Lead and support developers in delivering backlog items
• Assign and prioritise work to ensure the right outcomes at the right time
• Make final decisions on task allocation within the team
• Mentor and empower engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth

Quality, Reliability & Process Improvement
• Ensure technical work is appropriately prioritised
• Manage incidents, including delegation and resolution
• Maintain and improve product quality and system reliability
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and ways of working

About You:
• Extensive experience with .NET / C#, with a strong focus on design and hands-on development
• Experience leading engineering teams and/or managing complex technical projects
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and microservices
• Solid knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and best practices
• Proven ability to collaboratively establish and enforce high coding standards
• Strong advocate of test-driven development (TDD)
