About the location:

Steps from the Prophet’s Mosque, our Hotel will offer luxury accommodation for the city’s 1.5 million annual visitors. The new-build hotel will be located at the heart of Madinah and steps from one of the most historic and significant sites in the region: Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, also known as the Prophet’s Mosque. Madinah is also home to the Quba Mosque, which is regarded as the oldest mosque in the world.

About the Role
 

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Engineering Supervisor to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the engineering department at Four Seasons Hotel Madinah. Reporting to the Engineering Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supervising engineering staff, ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of hotel systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Your role will ensure the hotel operates smoothly and efficiently, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and guest satisfaction.


What You Will Do
 

  • Supervise and lead the engineering team in the maintenance, repair, and operation of the hotel’s systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

  • Ensure that all preventive maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner, and address any urgent repair requests efficiently.

  • Monitor and ensure the efficient operation of building systems, including elevators, fire safety equipment, water treatment systems, and lighting.

  • Conduct inspections of hotel facilities and systems, identifying issues and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.

  • Assist in managing the daily engineering operations and staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and smooth operations during peak periods.

  • Provide guidance and training to engineering staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.

  • Respond promptly to any maintenance issues or guest complaints, ensuring timely resolutions and minimal disruption to hotel operations.

  • Support the implementation of energy management initiatives, identifying opportunities for energy savings while maintaining guest comfort and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure all engineering tasks are documented accurately and maintain proper records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory.

  • Assist in managing engineering projects, including renovations, repairs, and capital improvement initiatives, ensuring completion on time and within budget.

  • Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as Housekeeping, Front Office, and F&B, to ensure seamless operations and support guest satisfaction.
     

What You Bring
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in engineering, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.

  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

  • Leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and guide a team of engineers and maintenance staff.

  • Ability to handle urgent repairs and emergencies efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests, staff, and other departments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and engineering management systems.

  • Proficiency in English.
