What You Will Do:
Accountable for the performance, oversight and reporting of the Gas Transmission turbomachinery fleet.
Primary turbomachinery interface for Gas Transmission Operations.
Provide direct operational technical support for equipment troubleshooting, reliability improvements and facility support (including but not limited to, turbomachinery performance calculations, diagnostic troubleshooting, vibration analysis, ancillary systems and root cause failure analysis).
Manage equipment fleet run hours, reliability objectives and efficiency optimization.
Oversee turbomachinery vendor support and troubleshooting.
Provide technical and commissioning support for maintenance capital and expansion projects.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Registered member as a P. Eng. with EGBC (in British Columbia) or APEGA (in Alberta).
Minimum 10 years of turbomachinery experience in gas transmission with at least 7 years of direct field experience.
Proven technical experience with gas generators, power turbines and gas compressors.
Excellent personal management capability, including time and priority management, organization and accountability-based management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and digital literacy.
A valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required.
Working Conditions:
60-70% office environment.
30%-40% travel required for this role to field and vendor locations in Canada and occasionally, the U.S. Valid passport is required.
This role requires travel and additional time commitments outside of regular hours to ensure operations/project support is delivered successfully.
Physical Requirements:
Included but not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 25 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Included but not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
