The Project Manager owns the Project execution plan and is responsible for day-to-day execution of the greenfield project in line with the scope & success criteria defined in the Technical Base plan/ Project Charter. Accountable to the Project Director.
The Project Manager ensures project is formally reviewed on a monthly basis through structured presentations to Steering Committees, governance bodies, and internal stakeholders, covering scope, cost, schedule, and physical progress. Provides analytical support to Project and Program Managers by tracking project deliverables, milestones, and success criteria, and highlighting risks and variances.
Works cross-functionally with Production, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Control, HR, Safety, and corporate teams to collect inputs and align assumptions. Facilitates management validation and approval of CapEx proposals, ensuring project concepts fully incorporate critical requirements related to safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.
What You’ll Do for Us
- Responsible for delivering the project to Technical Base Plan success criteria.
- Translate project objectives/ scope to executable plans via project execution plan.
- Manage all project phases: concept, design, Implementation (Construct/ Install) and start up.
- Ensure adherence to the Engineering project work process, Project management playbook and the VSU Playbook.
- Own, manage and report the cost control, schedule control, change management, procurement strategy and risk management for the project.
- Gate keeper for the project stewardship ensuring the application of procurement processes, timely PO opening & closing, charge out, capitalization and all relevant processes.
- Manage interfaces with the engineering suppliers, construction companies, OEMs, installation companies and internal KO functions.
- Own the communication drumbeat for internal project teams and chair the connects with Project Director.
- Escalate risks/ changes/ approvals beyond the delegation of authority provided by project director
- Assist different workstream’s managers in reviewing contractor bids and contracts, tracking physical progress and estimation of timelines.
- Generates capitalization plan based on project timeline.
- Ensures adherence to Project Management Plans, with 9 milestones and 3 gates of PMO methodology.
- Analytically assists Project Director in Tracking of Project’s Deliverables and Success criteria.
- Coordinate with Project team on delivery of project specific documentation during various milestones of project. Consolidates Project Handover documentation and prepare project’s final closure report. Assists Project Director in conduction of Lessons learned Analysis (Project Defect Analysis) as part of feedback to design for future reference projects.
- Prepare analysis of various meetings and conferences (E.g. Project reviews, Meetings with Design consultants & Key contractors, Meetings on Project’s physical status with Key vendors, Lesson learned register, etc.).
Qualifications & Requirements
- University Degree in Engineering in any discipline with Project management certification (PMP).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in greenfield and major brownfield Projects Management with food or beverage company.
- Strong analytical and project management skills and In-depth knowledge of Project Management to manage quality in cost, scope and time.
- Analytical skills in problem solving and strong communication and networking.
- Good knowledge of SAP-Project systems, MS Project, Autocad 2D/3D, Navis 3D visualization, Visio and documentation tools.
- Good knowledge about product manufacturing across business.
