About the role
The Engineering Manager (F&B Industrial) Philippines is responsible for leading a team of service engineers and technicians delivering technical support to customers in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry. The role combines people management, technical leadership, customer engagement, and operational oversight to ensure high service quality, customer satisfaction, and growth of the service and equipment business.
Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and develop a team of service engineers and technicians, ensuring strong performance, engagement, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Plan staffing, schedules, and field assignments to meet service coverage and contractual obligations.
Provide technical leadership and escalation support for equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, and complex breakdowns at customer sites.
Ensure routine and preventive maintenance activities are executed according to service agreements and company procedures.
Review, validate, and approve service reports, root cause analyses, and corrective actions submitted by the team.
Act as a senior technical contact for key customers and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
Collaborate with Sales and Application teams on equipment inspections, audits, and technical evaluations to ensure optimal machine performance.
Support and drive the promotion of service contracts, upgrades, and spare parts based on customer needs and field insights.
Monitor spare parts usage and availability, recommending stock optimization to minimize downtime risks.
Provide structured feedback to engineering and product teams for continuous improvement based on field experience.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and customer-specific standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, or service-based environment, preferably in the Food & Beverage industry.
At least 2–3 years of proven experience in a people management or supervisory role, leading technicians or engineers.
Strong technical expertise in industrial equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and automation systems.
Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on technical knowledge with leadership and operational responsibilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
Customer-focused, proactive, and structured problem-solving mindset.
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
Willingness to travel frequently and support operations across customer sites.
