As an Engineering Manager , you'll play a key role in our innovative team dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for our global customers.
From powering platforms like NBCUniversal’s Peacock in the United States to Sky’s NOW, and SkyShowtime across Europe, and now Showmax in over 40 countries in Africa, one thing’s for certain, your contributions will impact millions of viewers worldwide.
What You'll Do:
Lead and mentor a squad of 5–8 talented software engineers, fostering a culture of psychological safety and growth.
Ensure that your team has the needed space to achieve both personal and professional goals
Define quarterly OKRs
Organise and plan team goals and priorities
Be a technical contributor as much as needed, helping your team
Be able to communicate and manage efficiently different stakeholders
Promote best technology and software development practices into the team with passion and enthusiasm
Contribute to the whole development cycle, analysis, implementation, testing and operation
Deliver products our customer’s love
What You'll Bring:
Previous experience managing software engineering teams (mandatory)
An agile and dynamic approach to delivery
Great communication and management skills
Engineering expertise in Software development (Backend or Frontend)
Previous experience as a software engineer developing with Java, Kotlin or NodeJS, JavaScript among others
Previous experience of modern Architecture, Frameworks & Design Patterns
Relentless focus on our customer’s experience and application performance
Continuous Integration/Deployment tools and processes
Ability to work well in a team, self-driven and eager to learn
Creative thinking, analytical skills, with attention to detail
Fluent in English
