About the Role

A Pushpay Engineering Manager has a strong passion for people, and the primary focus of this role is to empower their teams to ensure their ongoing success. They are someone who loves to collaborate, build relationships with others, develop and coach their teams, and create supportive and inclusive team environments. They will be working to connect their teams of engineers to the "why" behind what they are doing.

This role will be looking after our integration and platform services teams.

The engineering management team has a strong connection and partner to ensure we consistently develop a positive and blameless culture. Our core values of people-focused, teachable, driven, simplicity and generosity are at the forefront of everything we do.

The role requires solid experience with managing project commitments, timelines, team capabilities, and resource management. You will be working closely with Product and Design to ensure smooth product deliveries, and we pride ourselves in our engineering and product relationship. You will also be a proactive communicator and solutions-finder, with the critical ability to translate complex technical concepts between engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders across the business.

About You

We are striving for someone to join our team who has a passion for working with people, a strong sense of empathy, is hungry for continuous improvement, and is confident in leading and empowering teams to achieve success. As we operate across different international time zones, proven experience leading geographically distributed or cross-functional teams is highly desirable. A proactive attitude, some resilience, and an innate ability to join the dots rounds out our ideal fit. We collaborate often as a management team but also surround ourselves with dependable leaders, so you will be someone who likes to self-manage your tasks, time, and resources.

Experience required

○ 7+ years of relevant software engineering experience; "relevant" being: Developing Internet-scale multi-user web/mobile/cloud type software products (as an Engineer or Quality Assistant)

○ 1+ years of relevant management experience; "relevant" being: Managing a team of engineers, working closely with those teams to deliver features as well as pastoral care, e.g. ideally an Engineering Manager or being a successful Tech Lead (Team Lead)
