Why this role is important for us

Product Development is a major part of SimCorp, where software engineering teams work relentlessly towards producing world class solutions. Managers are leading these teams, and they are key to our success. This position resides in one of the key areas, Valuation and Market Data, where our flagship investment management software SimCorp Dimension is being built and enhanced. The employees that report to this position are located in Denmark, India, and Poland.

This position is 12 month time-limited, starting in August 1, 2026 and ending by August 1, 2027. Compensation ranges are being disclosed at the initial stage of candidate engagement. 

What you will be responsible for

▪ You are the leader of 1-2 teams of Software Engineers with responsibility for growing and upskilling your team through 1:1s, feedback, mentoring, coaching, and goal setting

▪ You have a responsibility for both the short-term deliverables in the sprints and the long-term improvements of your team(s)

▪ You are responsible for fostering a healthy working environment for your teams

▪ You work closely with your peers in Product Management to understand and refine the customer outcomes that you and your teams are responsible for delivering

▪ You collaborate with other leaders to deliver cross area initiatives, and to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency where needed

▪ You understand and define relevant engineering metrics to gain insight into your team’s performance and to help drive improvement

▪ You are responsible for the planning and the delivery of the outcomes of your teams

▪ You are part of a team of Engineering Managers (called Hygge) where you collaboratively lead a combination of areas that are related to each other. You report to the Director of Engineering, Ender Yüksel

• Manager experience is naturally preferred, yet we are also eager to consider enthusiastic candidates who possess natural skill of creating followership but lacks experience

• You have a good grasp of core software engineering practices and able to understand what your team are doing on a daily basis as well as reason with their decisions

• Ideally you have relevant domain knowledge or at least interest in learning, financial software

• Having previously been part of an agile team, you have a good understanding of agile ways of working at the team level and know what methods & techniques to apply when

• You know what is “good enough” and can guide your teams towards this

• You are responsible for continually improving it as you strive for technical excellence
