Job Overview 

As an Engineering Manager in a global Revenue Platform Engineering organization, you drive the evolution of our finance technology stack combining deep technical expertise with strong team leadership. 

 

You build strong teams, drive development, and execute with focus. You collaborate across global product, engineering, and business teams, leveraging domain and tech expertise to foster excellence and belonging. You step in to resolve technical issues, providing direction while balancing hands-on support with leadership. 

 

With a focus on future-ready solutions, you partner with leadership to identify AI opportunities and lead your team in learning and building AI applications. 

 

You ensure systems are resilient, integrated, and audit-compliant, while staying deeply engaged in architecture and operations. You champion industry best practices and cultivate a culture of continuous learning ensuring your team develops domain mastery, maintains clear ownership of deliverables, and upholds strong engineering practices through test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native development. You are driving solutions across quote-to-cash, billing, revenue modeling, pricing, commissions, deal execution, and payment collection integrating with external systems like Oracle, Informatica, and Salesforce, Sidetrade, Stripe.  

 

You empower a high-performing engineering team mentoring talent, removing blockers, ensuring code quality, and maintaining a strong focus on productivity, performance, and scalability.

Team Overview 

You are responsible for leading engineers and testers across Finance Platform teams, partnering with PM, PO and engineers to deliver solutions that meet internal customer needs within the core Revenue Technology stack. 

 

Outline of Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team with a culture of collaboration, accountability, autonomy, and continuous learning. 

  • Engineering Excellence: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, reliable, and maintainable revenue platform solutions. Provide technical guidance and hands-on support when needed to ensure best practices. 

  • Platform Optimization & Integration: Ensure finance systems particularly those integrated with Salesforce are robust, performant, and scalable. Drive innovation and alignment with company objectives. 

  • Technical Leadership: Guide the technical direction using your expertise in Java, Python, data platforms, workflow automation, messaging frameworks, and cloud technologies. Champion best practices in GenAI adoption, automation, web services, and cloud-native delivery. 

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with remote EMs and work closely with product, sales, CS, and finance teams to align technical execution with business strategy. Translate complex engineering into clear, actionable plans. 

  • System Integrity & Performance: Ensure accurate estimations and deliver high-performing, secure, and resilient systems. Identify and remove blockers to keep projects on track. 

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Lead improvements across processes, tools, and systems to keep our revenue tech stack modern and competitive. 

  • Talent Acquisition & Retention: Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent. Set a high-performance bar and create an environment that values growth and recognition. 

  • Culture & Collaboration: Foster a culture of inclusion, psychological safety, candor, and collaboration. Engage with empathy and build strong organizational relationships. 

  • Process & Methodology: Apply Agile, Lean, and fast-flow principles to maximize team effectiveness and delivery speed.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 

  • 8+ years in software engineering with a focus on finance tech, integration, and workflow automation. 

  • 3+ years in engineering leadership, managing teams of 3+ engineers. 

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering cloud-scale, service-oriented solutions in distributed microservices environments. 

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills; effective in matrixed environments with dual reporting lines. 

  • Expert in Java, Python, Javascript; knowledge/understanding of ERP, CPQ, billing, payments, deal execution, and financial controls. 

  • Knowledge of workflow automation tools (e.g., Workato), REST/OpenAPI web services, messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka), ELK, data platforms (e.g., Snowflake), monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), cloud technologies (AWS/GCP), and containerization (Kubernetes/Docker). 

  • Proficient with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native development focusing on scalability, resiliency, and recoverability. 

  • Solid grasp of Agile, DevOps, and modern SDLC best practices. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an emphasis on innovation and scalability. 

  • Skilled at cross-functional collaboration with EM partners and business stakeholders. 

  • Experience in financial services or B2B platforms is a plus. 

 

Working Conditions  

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
