The Vice President – Engineering Manager (DevOps) role in Ireland provides senior technical and organisational leadership for the DevOps function. This role is engineering-focused, combining deep technical credibility with accountability for DevOps strategy, standards, and operational effectiveness. The role has direct line management responsibility for DevOps resources in Ireland and acts as the global functional owner for DevOps practices, tooling, and ways of working.

10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
Proven experience providing technical leadership for DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure platforms.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure, with familiarity across portal usage, virtual machines, Kubernetes services, networking, and cost management.
Knowledge of infrastructure as code and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Helm.
Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps tooling such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, and artifact repositories (e.g., JFrog Artifactory) or equivalent tools.
Understanding of containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.
Experience embedding security controls into pipelines, including security scanning, SSO integration, and user/access management.
Strong documentation practices, including runbooks and operational guidance.
Experience mentoring engineers and leading teams in a collaborative, agile environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction across teams.
