Department Overview

The Digital Solutions & Services department is a team responsible for reinventing how our customers interact with our organization. We provide our customers with the tools to solve every problem they may encounter with their orders, support, repairs, accounts, and much more. Our mission is to build the most meaningful and impactful digital self-service experiences for our customers.


Job Description

The Engineering Manager will:

  • Lead a development team responsible for developing and maintaining the Motorola Self Service Portals.

  • Co-create business goals and develop actionable plans to achieve them.

  • Recruit, inspire, and develop top talent.

  • Collaborate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.

  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to advise and support the team.

  • Manage vendor relationships to onboard the best talent using the most cost-effective methods.

  • Collaborate with Architecture to drive technical roadmaps, patches, and feature parity.

  • Lead innovation initiatives to keep the team and tech stack aligned with global market trends


Basic Requirements

  • Strong business acumen.

  • Deep understanding of the software production process and toolchain, including development environments, version control, testing, application security, and deployment processes.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing highly scalable web applications.

  • Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and test automation.

  • Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills.

  • Excellent English and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
