At Central Services, our mission is to empower teams across the organization to deliver world-class visuals, communication capabilities, and localization solutions across all products and channels.
As the Manager of our Communications Platform team, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution for enabling and scaling communications across multiple channels and product areas—including end users, suppliers, CRM, and more. You will be responsible for building and evolving the communications platform that powers GetYourGuide at scale, ensuring our products can connect effectively with audiences worldwide.
Your mission
- Lead all hiring and performance management processes for your Engineering team, helping your engineers reach their full potential.
- Drive impactful projects and outcomes, managing the team’s roadmap and portfolio allocation.
- Find and deliver solutions to complex technical challenges that span across multiple services and business domains within Central Services.
- Work hand-in-hand with product and key stakeholders across the broader business.

- You have a strong sense of ownership, ensuring technical and product plans are aligned with your stakeholders, your team, and organizational and company goals.
- You approach complex topics with an open mind and a focus on simplicity.
- You bring a strong engineering background, enabling you to evaluate complex technical decisions, anticipate challenges, and recommend effective solutions.
- You actively lead and contribute to technical, design, and product discussions within your team’s domain.
- You are passionate about building and developing a high-performing engineering team—mentoring, coaching, and empowering engineers.
- You care deeply about creating value for users and use this judgment to shape and prioritize your roadmap.
- You thrive in an international, cross-functional environment and enjoy collaborating across roles and geographies.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
