This Manufacturing Engineering NAF Summer Intern position will provide an opportunity for a high school student interested in engineering discipline to provide technical support to daily manufacturing needs emphasizing in process improvements. The resource will be guided by a Manufacturing Engineering coach and support Projects as well as Mistake Proof solutions to manufacturing opportunities to prevent recurrence and meet operational cost standards.
This position will sit at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico for the duration of the NAF period. Relocation is not offered
Primary Responsibilities:
Support the set up & operation of a variety of manufacturing & test equipment
Utilize computer systems (e.g. work instructions, labor charging, prints, and standards)
Process material requisitions in accordance with established procedures
Support Evaluation, disposition, and implementation of corrective actions following non-conforming material procedures
Promote mistake proofing solutions
Recognize and take steps to resolve work area issues
Maintain accurate records of all work performed
Qualifications:
Good reading, writing & math skills
Good computer skills (MS Office; Word and Outlook) Daily use of computers
Knowledge of office software apps
Understand theory of electronic circuitry & electrical components
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Effectively communicate & interact with others at all levels
Handle multiple tasks at the same time
Bilingual speaking and writing in English
