Engineering Intern, R&D

We have an opportunity for an Engineering Intern to join our R&D team. Research and Development (R&D) is a functional area in coating solutions and process development. Partner with your mentor and team to evaluate and manage performance testing of coatings, evaluate sample catheters, including mechanical properties and blood clot aspiration, and radiation sterilization testing. With any additional capacity, this intern will support sample builds and testing for non-heparin anti-fouling coatings. 

Qualifications:

•    Entering and enrolled in Junior or Senior year of Engineering Program (Chemical or Biomed preferred)
•    GPA of 3.0 or higher
•    Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
•    Critical thinking
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Good interpersonal skills, team player
•    Solidworks and 3D printing experience is a plus

 

Target hourly payrate of $22-25, depending on qualifications.

Surmodics determines base pay by evaluating market data, internal equity, skills, abilities and level of experiences for each unique, potential employee.
