This role is within the EDS segment, and you will be joining that segment as it becomes its own entity, with a rich heritage and proven track record as a global leader in low and high voltage power and signal distribution systems. Your Role:

Technical & Project Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong relationship with the customer and act as the key contact for product development.
  • Lead engineering projects and ensure delivery on time, within budget and according to Aptiv and customer guidelines.
  • Translate customer technical requirements into clear actions and ensure they are fulfilled, including product design and product safety.
  • Communicate customer innovations and technical updates to internal engineering teams.
  • Support Sales with technical input to help acquire new projects.
  • Create and manage project budgets and resource plans with the Engineering Manager.
  • Track engineering costs monthly.
  • Identify critical processes, evaluate risks and drive process efficiency.
  • Ensure effective communication between Aptiv and the customer.
  • Support standardization and knowledge sharing within EMEA EDS Product Engineering.

People & Organizational Responsibilities

  • Set goals for the team and drive continuous improvement of processes and performance.
  • Develop and coach team members, ensuring skill and capability growth.
  • Ensure alignment and effective collaboration with other CSCs and plants.
  • Work with the Engineering Manager to implement organizational goals.
  • Continue developing your own strengths and capabilities.

 Requirements:

  • Technical university degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the EDS domain: wiring harness development, product design or E/E architecture–related work.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams
  • Strong ability to translate technical customer requirements into engineering actions and system concepts.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost tracking and resource planning for engineering projects.
  • Solid understanding of product development processes, including change management, product safety and design reviews.
  • Conflict‑resolution and clear communication skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder interactions.
  • Continuous‑improvement mindset, able to drive process optimization and standardization across teams.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, especially in cross‑functional and international environments.
  • Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written.
