Major Duties:

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR ~ Have operated a grader and bulldozer to clear brush; grade roads, push, pull, pile, load earth, backfill and dig trenches. I have experience performing operator level preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.- Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Heavy physical effort is used in constantly bending, reaching, turning, and moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to handle different sets of controls. Considerable strain is caused by constant vibration, jerking and jolting from operations over rough surfaces. Frequently work in awkward or strained positions or constant standing and walking when patching roads. Also exerts considerable effort when operating jackhammer. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing 50 pounds and occasionally heavier. WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in all types of weather often in open driver's seat or platform in all types of terrain. Exposed to possible injury due to possible overturning of equipment, working around underground gas, steam, power and water lines. Exposed to noise, vibration, dust and dirt and fumes. May be exposed to hazardous or flammable materials.
