You Are:

The Engineering Deployment Senior Manager plays a critical leadership role in supporting the full lifecycle of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system implementation across multiple medical centers. This individual ensures successful execution across technical deployment activities, leads geographically distributed teams, and drives consistent delivery across numerous concurrent implementation waves.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical deployment experience, outstanding communication abilities, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments in fast-paced healthcare settings.

The Work:

Program Delivery & Oversight

  • Lead and oversee multiple concurrent engineering deployment efforts across numerous medical centers.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and scalability of deployment activities as the number of concurrent implementation waves increases.
  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate technical and program risks in the engineering deployment space.
  • Define and influence the long-term strategy for reusable deployment tools, processes, and templates to support efficient, repeatable execution.

Technical Discovery & Readiness

  • Manage and organize technical discovery activities at hospitals and clinics related to:
    • End User Devices (EUD)
    • Interfaced systems
    • Data Drops & Power Outlets (DDPO)
  • Conduct post-discovery analysis to define technical scope, confirm requirements, and assess readiness.
  • Build a strong understanding of client-standard capabilities, devices, and interfaces to support gap analysis and implementation planning.

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor engineering deployment team members supporting multiple waves.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local site IT leaders, technical owners, executive stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering, network, and technology groups.
  • Partner closely with internal teams and external vendors to support deployment readiness, cutover planning, and technical transition activities.

Project & Vendor Management

  • Oversee engineering workstreams, ensuring schedule alignment, risk visibility, and overall delivery quality.
  • Support vendor coordination, cutover activities, and operational transition planning.
  • Provide clear, concise written and verbal communication to internal and external partners.

Here's What You Need:

  • Prior engineering deployment experience, ideally in complex technical or healthcare environments.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel semi-frequently to medical centers and clinics in various regions.
  • Significant client-facing experience and comfort working with diverse stakeholders.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Previous experience conducting assessments of hospitals or clinics.
  • Familiarity with medical system interfaces and medical device integration.
  • Experience with major EHR platforms (e.g., Oracle or similar).
  • Knowledge of:
    • Medical End User Devices (EUD)
    • Health Level 7 (HL7)
    • Network assessments
    • Medical technology environments
  • Stakeholder engagement and communications

 

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:
