UnspecifiedWhat You Will Do:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Services, this role provides engineering support to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient engine overhaul and repair activities. You will work closely with the shop, OEMs, customers, and regulatory authorities to review engine work scopes, resolve out-of-manual conditions, lead technical investigations, and deliver practical engineering solutions that support quality, turnaround time, and cost objectives.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to achieve engineering and quality excellence
Review engine workscope and provide applicable work instructions to the shop to ensure compliance with engineering data during the engine shop visit
Review out-of-manual conditions and provide engineering solutions in relation to engine overhaul and repair processes
Lead engine failure investigation and coordinate with engine OEM, airline customers and aviation authorities for engine condition documentation and reporting
Work proactively in addressing potential issues and apply real-time problem solving skills when working towards resolution
Communicate with customers on out-of-manual repair approval
Propose creative engineering solution to reduce engine turn time and shop visit cost
Liaise with the OEM and subcontractors on engine investigation and repair processes
Participate in Continuous Improvement projects to bring change to the department and company
Assist the Engineering Management in special projects
Requirements:
Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 2 years’ experience in either aerospace MRO setting is preferred but not mandatory
Able to interpret technical data and engine manuals.
Good working knowledge in MS Office applications (Words, Excel, Projects, and Power Point).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
Versatile worker who is able to work well in a team setting and independently.
Ability to think and process information in the macro and micro level.
Highly motivated and innovative individual who is meticulous
Strong leadership skills to direct the shop in engineering activities.
