The Role: Engineer II, Facilities Site Management
A Facilities Engineer is responsible for assisting the Facility Manager to lead a team of Facilities Technician to ensure facilities equipment and building infrastructure operate in tip-top condition meeting compliance, safely, efficiently, and sustainability requirement. Their duties span maintenance, compliance, project management, and optimization of systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety equipment
What You’ll Do:
Operation & Maintenance
Oversee daily operation of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety).
Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve issues.
Develop preventive maintenance schedules to extend equipment lifespan and reduce downtime.
Optimization
Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability projects (e.g., LED lighting, smart sensors).
Recommend upgrades to improve performance and reduce operational costs.
Project Management
Lead facility-related projects such as renovations, expansions, or system upgrades.
Coordinate with contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Prepare budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects meet compliance standards.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure facilities meet local building codes, environmental regulations, and workplace safety standards.
Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures.
Maintain documentation for audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections.
Performance Monitoring
Track facility performance metrics such as energy consumption, equipment reliability, and maintenance costs.
Provide reports and recommendations to senior management.
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with internal stakeholders (operations, IT, and safety teams) to align facility needs with organizational goals.
Support employees by ensuring a safe, comfortable, and productive work environment
What We Seek:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related field with minimum 5 years of hand’s on working experience.
Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety).
Familiar with FM Global, DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, ST, Safety compliance needs.
Familiar with ISO System (9000, 14000), RBA.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with strong data analysis skills.
Preferable six sigma green belt certification and above.
Project Management:
Skilled in scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating contractors.
Communication:
Clear reporting and collaboration with stakeholders.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of peoples.
Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with CAD, building management systems, and maintenance software.
Good knowledge in AI is a plus.
Personality:
High self-discipline and high accountability attitude.
Willingness to take challenge and seek for best optimum solution.
Having “I can do “mindset and always seek for continuous improvement.
Able to work with high pressure in critical situation with minimum supervision.
Willingness to stay long hours when required during critical situation arise.
