Engineer I, Condition Based Maintenance

Ensure smooth operation of facilities and building systems in Costa Rica manufacturing plant. This position maintain one or more of the following facility systems as assigned by supervisor: Process water system, HVAC system, clean room system, boiler system, incoming power, water supply, air compressed system, building maintenance, fire protection system, sanitary system and janitorial service.
 

How you'll make an impact:
• Participate in facilities operation meeting to discuss preventative maintenance projects
• Maintain facilities system procedures to ensure compliance to quality and EHS system
• Establish sections of preventive maintenance program to maintain and improve all facilities and building systems reliability
• Achieve plant EHS goals by collaborating with technicians/contractors to ensure that their work is performed safely
• Provide training and guidance to facilities technicians to achieve department goals for facilities and building systems reliability
• Attend cross functional operation and quality meetings to discuss project requirements and update condition based maintenance metrics
• Other incidental duties assigned by Leadership

What you'll need (Required): Education and experience requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 1 year of experience

Experience with predictive maintenance methodologies (vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography, among others).
Knowledge of condition-based maintenance (CBM) tools.
Broad technical knowledge in areas such as electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and fluid systems.

English: Intermediate to advanced level; able to read and comprehend well, and write correctly (though writing will be limited).
Certifications in predictive maintenance technologies - Preferred

Experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment and experience with IBM Maximo - Preferred
