How You Will Contribute:
Design board-level hardware architecture, including digital and analog subsections, component selection, and schematic capture using industry-standard tools.
Lead PCB design processes, providing layout/routing requirements and collaborating with mechanical engineers for thermal simulations and heat sink designs.
Develop and verify CPLD/FPGA glue logic, including coding, simulation, and testing.
Conduct bench and system-level testing to ensure designs meet specifications before production release.
Document the entire board development cycle, from theory of operation to test specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software, Systems Engineering, System Validation, Compliance/Reliability, and Manufacturing, throughout the design lifecycle.
Provide technical leadership, troubleshoot design issues, and mentor junior engineers within the team.
The Must Haves:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech).
Proven experience in high-speed board-level design for telecom and networking equipment, including complex FPGAs, ASICs, CPLDs, processors, and high-speed memories.
Proficiency in CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL and/or Verilog synthesis/simulation tools.
Expertise in using standard bench-level test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol-specific data analyzers.
Strong skills in hardware analysis, design, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Nice to Haves:
Familiarity with software tools for analysis, development, testing, and debugging.
Proven ability to resolve complex issues requiring design trade-offs.
Self-starter with a positive attitude and a knack for problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently while maintaining team orientation.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to change with flexibility, creativity, and patience.
