We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer to contribute to the design and optimization of high-lift aerodynamic systems, leveraging advanced data science methodologies. This role combines traditional aerodynamic engineering expertise with modern data-driven approaches to enhance aircraft performance and efficiency.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Designing, analyzing, and optimizing high-lift systems using aerodynamic principles and advanced simulation tools.

  • Applying data science techniques to analyze complex aerodynamic data, identify trends, and develop predictive models for high-lift performance.

  • Developing and implementing algorithms and scripts for data processing, analysis, and automation of aerodynamic design tasks (Programming and coding).

  • Conducting numerical analysis and simulations of high-lift configurations, interpreting results, and providing actionable insights.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and utilizing CATIA for 3D modeling of high-lift components.

  • Managing projects related to high-lift aerodynamic design and data science, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you should bring along the following:

  • Strong background in Aerodynamics (focus on high-lift systems) and proficiency in Data science principles (statistical analysis, machine learning).

  • Solid understanding of Mathematics, numerical analysis, and simulation tools.

  • Expertise in Programming and coding (e.g., Python, MATLAB) and proficiency in CATIA for 3D design.

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and German; proven ability in Project Management.

  • An Agile, open-minded approach and a willingness to travel for business (up to once or twice per month).
