We invite a Mechanical Engineer with a cooperative nature, strong accountability, and proactive motivation to join our team. Under general guidelines and moderate supervision, you will contribute your expertise to technical projects. Upon completing the plant expansion, you will lead daily facility operations, equipment oversight, and energy efficiency enhancements. Excellent written and spoken English is required. You should use good judgment when performing quantitative analysis and interpreting data, while welcoming diverse challenges. The role involves addressing moderately complex problems, developing project management abilities, and consistently collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to share technical information.

Mechanical Engineering support and oversight of Building, Construction, Commissioning including:

  • Participate in technical projects under moderate supervision, applying advanced technical knowledge and integrating expertise across one or more sub-functional areas.

  • Review build drawings and specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy, and apply good judgment for technical analysis.

  • Use NavisWorks 3D models to examine equipment layouts and routing paths, evaluating functionality, maintainability, and constructability.

  • Validate engineering calculations, perform quantitative analysis, and interpret results.

  • Work closely with O&M personnel to review equipment submittals and coordinate with more experienced colleagues and managers to address complex issues.

  • Review and verify construction RFI responses and perform on-site quality management.

  • Develop team leadership and training capabilities; may lead or train other team members.

  • Support commissioning and start-up phases to ensure systems meet standards and guidelines.

  • Input system data into capacity planning software to assist with future operational planning.

  • Incorporate lessons learned from other sites into build improvements.

  • Transition to facility system maintenance and operations after project completion, assisting with routine mechanical facility inspections, maintenance, major equipment troubleshooting, and repairs.

  • Support equipment upgrades, energy-saving initiatives, system optimization, and regulatory audits.

  • Prepare and manage O&M SOPs, inspection checklists, and technical documentation.

  • Assist with budgeting, equipment procurement, and vendor management.

  • Make decisions that may impact team results or small project quality.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; capable of routinely sharing technical resources with colleagues and supervisors.

  • Ability to cooperate across departments and engage with diverse, multicultural teams to solve problems.

  • Capable of balancing multiple tasks and meeting goals and deadlines.

  • Continuous improvement approach for systems and processes.

  • Highly customer focused, willing to travel or relocate within Taiwan.
