Major Duties:

  • You will assist with executing system safety and environmental safety and occupational health (ESOH) programs; perform analyses of system safety and ESOH documentation in support of program acquisition milestones.
  • You will perform system safety and ESOH analyses of weapons (such as: underwater mines, projectiles, rockets, missiles, and all other energetic systems used on aircrafts, vehicles, unmanned systems, and shipboard platforms).
  • You will develop system safety data packages for weapon systems and weapon delivery systems to support review by independent safety review authorities.
  • You will execute system safety and environmental safety and occupational health (ESOH) programs; perform analyses of system safety and ESOH documentation in support of program acquisition milestones.
  • You will perform system safety and ESOH analyses of weapons such as underwater mines, projectiles, rockets, missiles and all other energetic systems used on aircraft, vehicles, unmanned systems and shipboard platforms.

Qualifications: In addition to the basic education requirements below: For the ND-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer applying principles of safety engineering to perform system and environmental safety for aircraft, vehicle, and ship platform integration, or weapon and energetic systems. For the ND-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer applying basic principles of safety engineering to accomplish developmental assignments utilizing basic techniques, procedures, and methods.
